Asda Returns Policy

When purchasing an item either in-store or offline, be familiar with the Asda returns policy for the specific item you purchased. Depending on the nature of the item, there may be certain conditions or circumstances that may apply to the item being returned. Electrical products, entertainment items, groceries, and clothing all have their own returns policY.

The Asda returns policy states that anyone wanting to return groceries, fresh or frozen items purchased in-store should bring in the item with the receipt of proof of purchase. However, if you do not have the receipt, an exchange or refund onto a gift card might be offered.

All electrical products are automatically guaranteed for an entire year after purchase. Proof of purchase is still required in the event that the item is to be exchanged, or refunded. In addition to the one year coverage, Asda offers a 28 day period as part of their “Changed Your Mind” promise. Should you change your mind, the product may be returned in their original condition, with or without a package.

Entertainment items, including music, movies and games are also covered by the 28 day ‘Changed Your Mind’ promise. It is important to note that this policy is limited to only one exchange. If the product is misdescribed or there is any fault, the product is guaranteed for up to a year from purchase.

Any products in the George Fashion range are covered by Asda’s ‘100 Day Quality Guarantee,’ so any products that you are not satisfied with may be returned within 100 days. As far as optical or pharmacy related purchases are concerned, these items are also covered by the 28 day ‘Changed Your Mind Promise.’ Items purchased at the pharmacy, however, must be either exchanged or refunded at the Pharmacy counter. If a product has an inherent fault and falls outside of the 1 year guarantee period, the Customer Service Desk should be contacted immediately.
