Carphone Warehouse Returns Policy

Carphone Warehouse returns policy enables a customer to return malfunctioning and unwanted accessories. Customers on subscription plans that come with unsatisfactory phones and accessories can return these items and get a full refund or have the handset replaced by an exact model. The returns policy has to tackle some tricky aspects of subscription plans like the fact that the phone comes bundled with the plan.

Condition of return items
Items must be in a certain condition at their point of return. A pay monthly phone cannot be returned without the SIM card, you cannot use your SIM card in a new pay as you go phone until you are ok with it, laptops must be returned with all accessories including the USB modem, you cannot make calls with a tablet or add data to its memory, games cannot be returned after the seal is broken.

Non returnable items
Some things cannot be returned due to practical and hygienic reasons; top ups, ringtones, downloads, graphics, personal Bluetooth headsets, installed car kits and installed broadband. Phones on the following networks can also be only returned for a full refund; T-mobile, 3 Talkmobile and Orange.

How to return items from Carphone Warehouse
For a pay monthly phone, the contract is cancelled and the customer disconnected. A pay monthly phone upgrade will be cancelled and the customer put back on the previous contract. For laptops and mobile broadband, the laptop and modem must be returned within 14 days of receipt. All personal data should be absent from the phone. Posting can be done by royal mail. Details to include are name and address, transaction number, the product and accessories, original packaging, proof of purchase and any gifts that came with the product. Laptops cannot be returned by post and have to be dropped in the nearest Carphone store.

Carphone Warehouse Refunds
Credit card refunds are done in 10 days while cheque refunds will take up to 28 days.
