Homebase Returns Policy

Homebase’ Returns Policy sets out the guidelines for refunds and exchanges on any items that a customer wishes to return. Homebase understands that everyone occasionally needs to return or exchange an item that they’ve bought. They advise all customers to check their purchases carefully before using or installing them, and that they keep the receipt or order number, which can be found on the order confirmation, as well as on the delivery packaging.

Most Homebase Products are covered by a 30 day money back guarantee so that they can either be exchanged or returned for a full refund. Collections can be arranged by phoning Homebase within 30 days, or within 28 days for furniture, to arrange a free collection of your items. All items must be returned unused in their original packaging, and accompanied by a proof of purchase. If the product is being returned because it is faulty you will usually be offered a replacement or repair. Items purchased online at Homebase.co.uk may not be returned to a Homebase store.

Some products are excluded from the 30 day money back guarantee. These are clearly marked by a dagger symbol near the product name. Also, items are excluded if product installation services have already begun for the items.

Homebase stores and Homebase.co.uk comply with the EU distance selling regulations, which give customers the right to cancel an order for any item purchased on the website for a full refund, excluding perosnalized items, or items made to customer specifications, audio/video recordings or software that is unsealed, items such as earrings and cosmetics, which cannot be returned for hygienic reasons, perishable items, or periodicals and magazines.

To cancel, email or write to Homebase within seven working days from the day after delivery of your purchase, giving the order number. Customers must take reasonable care of the items while they remain in their possession. Free collection of items to be returned is arranged by contacting HomeBase.
