Ikea Returns Policy

The Ikea returns policy states that Ikea customers may return items for any reason within 90 days of purchase, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging, and a receipt is included. If a refund is desired it will be made using the original method of payment.

Refunds may be refused for items returned without an original receipt. If the original item was purchased with a credit card, that card must be available when the return is made. And a drivers license may required for identification. Mattresses may be exchanged once during the 90 day period for credit towards the purchase of another mattress. Returns cannot be made on bedding, cut fabrics, or custom countertops.

If promotional items included in the purchase of an original item is not returned with that item, the price of the promotional item may be deducted from the refund amount.

Items purchased by phone may also be returned within the 90 day limit subject to the conditions for store returns. The refund will include the purchase price and taxes , but the cost of shipping and handling is the responsibility of the customer. Before you return faulty or damaged merchandise purchased by phone you may be asked to submit photos showing the flaws or damage.

Should you desire, Ikea can arrange pick up large items,(those delivered by truck) that were ordered by phone or internet. Simply contact Ikea’s Internet/Phone returns department using the information on the Ikea website. If you wish, items may be returned to anIkea store, and an Ikea gift card will be issued for the amount of purchase, including applicable taxes, however the refund will not include any shipping or handling fees.
